Dear CAU Students,
Congratulations for choosing to attend Clark Atlanta University. This great institution has a rich heritage, and we strive to keep it alive by supporting the university and its students.
The DeKalb Chapter of the Clark Atlanta University Alumni Association is proud to announce its 2022/2023 Spring Scholarship Application program. This is a competitive application process; successful students will be awarded funds to be used towards books and classroom supplies. Depending on the needs, the award may also be used to fill a tuition gap.
Each applicant must adhere to the following criteria:
Be a full-time undergraduate student with at least 12 credit hours recorded to date.
Be a Georgia resident living in the CAU Dekalb service areas. (Submit parent/ guardian name, phone number and address Georgia)
Possess a 2.7 or greater grade point average.
Submit a complete application (Incomplete applications will not be considered)
Writing Sample: What is a leader? What leadership qualities do you think the President of Clark Atlanta University should possess? If asked by the President and his/her administration, what changes would you recommend for a better CAU? This writing sample should be 1000 words, typed double spaced.
Provide a copy of the “unofficial transcript” up to the present semester (semester ending December 2022)
Submit online application, and all required documents should be submitted as attachments to cauaa.dekalb@gmail.com by 5pm on December 10, 2022.
**Successful applicants must submit a headshot (photo) and complete an Acknowledgement of Receipt form before receiving the official notification of award. Students who do not return the requested information in a time indicated by the Dekalb chapter, will forfeit the opportunity to receive any funds.
The successful scholarship recipients will be notified by January 10, 2022, and will be asked to attend the CAUAA DeKalb General Body meeting to receive the award and the Scholarship Brunch on February 4, 2023.

This application is for all CAU students who are residents of the State of Georgia and live within the CAUAA Dekalb service area.

Parent or guardian’s name, address, and phone number in Dekalb County
Deadline for application: December 10, 2022
